We are delighted to announce that Luxe Creative Media has taken over the management of the awards in October 2026. We are refining the process to ensure every salon, spa, and beauty professional is recognised fairly and individually for their hard work and excellence.
The British Hair & Beauty Awards is a prestigious, nationwide competition celebrating excellence across the hair, beauty, and wellness industry. Established over 11 years ago, the Awards recognise individual salons, spas, and practitioners for their hard work, skill, and dedication.
How It Works
- Online Entry & Judging: The Awards are fully online, saving businesses both time and money while maintaining the highest professional standards.
- Entry: UK-based hair and beauty businesses can enter one or multiple categories. Each entry is assessed individually; there is no public voting.
- Dedicated Support: Every business receives a dedicated account manager to guide them through the entry process and provide personalised support.
- Judging: Professional judges with extensive industry expertise review each entry based on merit, focusing on business excellence, client experience, innovation, and professionalism. Every salon or spa is assessed fairly and separately—businesses are not pitted against each other.
- Finalists & Awards: Shortlisted businesses are notified and invited to the online ceremony. Winners receive trophies, certificates, and digital badges to showcase their achievement. Awards reflect the individual merit and efforts of each business, rather than popularity or votes.

All finalists and winners will have access to our online shop, where you can purchase trophies, certificates, and marketing materials to celebrate your win. The shop will be opened before the start of the awards, so you can view pricing before taking part. We aim to keep everything affordable and transparent. There is no hidden fee’s. All award ceremonies will be held online, making participation easy and convenient.

Top Rated Salons & Spas is a premium accreditation scheme recognising the very best in the hair, beauty, and wellness industry. Unlike typical “star” ratings, we offer one award only — the Gold Standard — a mark of true excellence across every aspect of a professional salon, spa, or barber business.
How It Works
- Free Digital Application: Salons and spas apply online at no cost.
- Independent Assessment: Each business is scored out of 10 by professional industry experts, using a comprehensive review process.
- Outcome:
- Score 9 or above: Eligible for the Gold Standard Award and pays £125 for the full package.
- Score below 9: Pays an £18 admin fee and receives a detailed improvement plan, with the option to reapply after three months.
